GRE Test 2016: The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardised test that is accepted for admission to various disciplines at many graduate and business schools across the globe. GRE Test 2016 is conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), a US based organisation. Aspirants who are interested in pursuing a master's degree, specialised master's course, MBA or doctoral degree can sit for the GRE Test. In addition to the GRE 2016 revised general test, there are seven GRE subjects tests that evaluate candidates’ knowledge in their respective field. The GRE 2016 Test  is available at about 700 test centers in more than 160 countries. It is available both in computer-based format and paper-based one. In India, GRE 2016 is offered only in the computer based format administered at Prometric testing centers.

GRE Test Eligibility 2016 : There is no specific eligibility criterion for taking GRE Test 2016. Aspirants can apply for the test irrespective of age and qualification. However, the candidate has to fulfill the admission criteria for individual institutes where he/she is applying. Since, GRE is a postgraduate test, generally, students who have cleared their undergraduation opt for the examination for entry into Masters or Phd courses abroad, especially, USA.

 

GRE Test pattern 2016: Only the GRE 2016  computer-based test is available in India. The total duration of the test is 3 hours 40 minutes. There are six sections and a 10-minute break is given after the third section during the GRE test 2016.

The Unscored and the Research section do not count toward the actual GRE 2016 score. The GRE test pattern 2016 for GRE Subject Test consists of seven subjects. They are: Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. Each subject has a different GRE test 2016 pattern.

 

GRE Participating Institutes 2016 : Various organisations use GRE test 2016 scores in considering candidates for graduate courses. There are also many specialised MBA master's and doctoral programs in business that accept GRE 2016 Test scores. GRE scores are accepted by thousands of GRE 2016 participating institutes in the World which also includes around 1200 business schools.

GRE 2016 Registration: To sit for GRE test 2016, candidates have to first create a ‘My GRE Account’. You can apply for the GRE test 2016 as well as check your scores in your account. For the GRE general test there are three ways to register. They are: Online, Phone and Mail registration. Candidates can opt from Online and Mail registration in the case of GRE subject test.

 

GRE Registration fee: Fees for GRE General Test is $205 worldwide. Fees for GRE Subject test is $150 globally.

 If you wish to change a subject in the Subject test, you will have to pay $50.

 

GRE test dates 2016: The computer-based GRE Test 2016 is offered year-round at Prometric test centers. You can take the GRE Test 2016once every 21 days, up to five times within a 12-month period. This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously. However, you have to first create a ‘My GRE Account’ in order to register for a specific date.

 

GRE Admit Card: The GRE 2016 admission ticket is sent to the candidates by mail after the process of registration. The admission ticket confirms the choice of test, test date, test center and also score recipients. If there is any mistake in the admit card you can make the changes in the correction stab and mail it to the address printed on the form.

 

GRE 2016 Results: ETS sends the candidates an email notification when their respective scores are available. The results are available in the respective GRE test 2016 accounts of the aspirants. Candidates sitting for the computer-based test can source their unofficial Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning scores at the test center. The official results are available within 10 to 15 days of the GRE test 2016.
