GRE Test Centres 2016: GRE is an international level test which is conducted in various test centres of GRE 2016. Since, the GRE test is not limited to certain sets of candidates fulfilling specified eligibility criteria, ETS, the conducting body of GRE has made the test available in many GRE test centres 2016.Candidates can choose GRE 2016 test centres depending on his/hers location and convenience. GRE test is of two types. They are GRE General Test and GRE Subject test. The general test is available in both the computer-based and paper-based formats while the Subject test is available in the paper based format only. The computer-based GRE General Test is available all year-round. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. In India, only the computer-based format is available. According to ETS, candidates can take the online GRE revised General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period.

 

In India, GRE test is held across 29 GRE test centres 2016. The common available computer based GRE test centres 2016 are Ahmadabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Trivandrum among others. You can also get the test code along with the GRE test centre in India 2016. Candidates are required to register for the GRE test in order to select a particular test centre. All GRE test centres in India are not available on all dates as the seats may be filled up.

GRE is a standardised test that is accepted for admission to various disciplines at many graduate and business schools across the globe. Various organisations use GRE scores in the selection procedure for considering candidates for graduate courses. While there is no exact eligibility riteria for GRE, candidates who want to go for postgraduate studies and hence have completed or will have completed undergraduation at teh time of admission, appear for GRE test 2016 from a designated GRE test centre 2016. The GRE Test Syllabus is different for both the formats. While the GRE General test measures a candidate’s verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills the GRE Subject Test is focused on judging the candidate’s expertise in specific fields.
